Ron Pynakker is a passionate motorcyclist, lover of old school machines and an avid member of the Brisbane Cafe Racers group. He recently contacted TRACTION to donate a Honda 125cc “Scrambler” and to enquire about whether participants of the program would be interested in helping him with his latest project - another Honda 125cc bike destined to become his next “Cafe Racer”. James and Jaida from Hemmant Flexi Learning Centre, participants of the TRACTION “Motorcycles” program at the Moorooka workshop jumped at the chance!
James and Jaida will work on the Cafe Racer project first, with Ron as the customer, learning mechanical skills and vital commercial realities.
Next year, students will turn their attention to the black “Scrambler” that Ron has donated to the program. The bike has its own story, having run the gauntlet at the unique “Dust Hustle” flat track event, and is now set for its next chapter, helping young people in need.
Thanks Ron for your support!
