TRACTION participants got more than they bargained for on their first day at the new TRACTION West End workshop today.
Students from Brisbane State High School were excited to meet former State High student and professional boxer Tyrone (“Cyclone”) Tonga who shared his life story with them. Cyclone shared his learnings so far and covered his school life, rugby and professional boxing career and his role as lead trainer and business owner of Cyclone Boxing.
"It has been my experience, and I believe it’s true for anyone, that if you put in preparation, determination, resilience and have an insatiable desire for learning, you can achieve anything you want in life,” said Cyclone.
Cyclone also lead the students in warm up and stretching exercises to get the blood pumping for the day.
Coach Cyclone runs personal training and boxing classes right next door to the TRACTION West End workshop. For more information, visit http://cyclonehq.com.
